Our Dream
In a high mountain meadow Where the green grass flows, I will build you a tiny cabin Of cedar and gray stone.
And when the wind roars down the valley Filling the earth with snow, I will build you a bright fire, Hold you and keep you warm.
On moonless nights in autumn When your heart is empty and cold, I will carry you home and love you And you will never be alone.
You said these words to me so surely Knowing they could never come true, But I held them in my heart so dearly Because I believed in you.
And because I believed in you Paradise came to me What was real was the dream you dreamed Of a heaven in life for me.
