Awakening
You took my hand and led me up the mountain to an ancient oak beneath a deep blue sky the soft jade grass sighed with liquid grace as we passed, a hawk circled above, rising, rising to heaven singing a blessing for our love The mountain was our awakening, our bridal bed and final rest the wild mountain of life, this short life I will remember every step and breath every touch and kiss of that day more life and love and happiness in those hours than all that came before.
